The Grapevine Newsletter – November 2016

Watershed Wines Newsletter - Margaret River

October was an exciting month for the Watershed team. The hotly contested Cabernet class at the Perth Royal Wine Show was a Watershed triumph with our 2014 Awakening Cabernet Sauvignon winning the trophy (pipping the Jimmy Watson winner to the post). This wine is proving a real crackerjack with gold medals also won at the Cowra Wine Show, Rutherglen Wine Show, Wine Show of WA and the Melbourne Wine Show. Our current release 2010 Awakening Cabernet won the same Cabernet Trophy in 2012 and is now available online and at our Cellar Door.

We have released our 2016 Shades Sauvignon Blanc Semillon which recently won gold at the Margaret River Wine Show. The blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon is a classic Margaret River wine style and so it is a tremendous achievement to have ours recognised amongst some of the very finest Australia has to offer.

A couple of other exciting announcements. Our Rick Stein trained Head Chef Dan Gedge has added new delicious dishes to his Spring Menu including Arkady lamb with broad beans, charred lettuce, crispy lamb belly and caesar sauce! BOOK NOW. Also, Gourmet Escape is coming to Watershed this month with Como Shambala Yoga and cuisine. For bookings and more information, visit the Gourmet Escape website.
